My first love was music. I remember watching a girl play the flute and telling my mom, “I have to play the flute.” I was completely captivated by the sound and the emotions it conveyed.
Unfortunately, my arms were not long enough to play the flute at the time, so my mom started me on piano so I could learn the foundations of music. When I was finally big enough, I eagerly began flute lessons. I was so excited for my very first lesson.
Sadly, my initial experience was not what I had hoped. The teacher made me feel uncomfortable and nervous, and after only a few lessons I told my mom I wanted to quit. Instead of letting me give up, she encouraged me to keep trying and promised to find me a new teacher.
Thankfully, she did — and that teacher helped me fall completely in love with both music and the flute. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to become a music teacher myself. A music teacher has the ability to shape — or even discourage — a child’s experience with music. My goal is to help your child truly fall in love with music and grow into a lifelong learner and performer.
With experience in both public and private education, I have had the privilege of working with students from diverse backgrounds and abilities, including those with complex physical and cognitive learning needs. Whether your child is highly gifted, has ADHD, dyslexia, or faces other learning challenges, my studio is a safe and encouraging environment where every student can grow in confidence and skill. From students preparing for college auditions to those just beginning to explore music through singing, movement, and foundational concepts, I would be honored to support your child on their musical journey.

I have guided students as they launch successful businesses, develop strong, effective resumes, communicate with confidence in English-speaking environments, and advocate for their children in school settings. Every lesson is intentionally designed to help you make real progress through meaningful conversation, purposeful activities, and consistent speaking practice — even when stepping outside your comfort zone.
I offer three different class options to help you reach your English-learning goals:

I am a dedicated educator with over 15 years of experience and a genuine love for both music education and ESL instruction. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music and have worked as a band teacher since 2012, teaching students of many ages and skill levels. I grew up playing flute and piano, and later discovered my passion for trumpet, which became my instrument of choice while teaching.
Early in my teaching journey, I became aware of the challenges faced by English language learners and the importance of helping ESL students keep pace with fluent English speakers. This passion led me to earn a Master’s degree in TESOL, allowing me to better support students as they build confidence and fluency in English. Since graduating, I have continued teaching adult ESL part-time, working with learners ranging from complete beginners to advanced students focusing on business English, fluency, and accent reduction.
I’m excited to bring together both of my passions in one place. I offer in-person and virtual music instruction, as well as ESL classes taught exclusively online to serve adult learners locally and internationally. No matter the subject, my goal is always to provide thoughtful, personalized instruction that helps students feel confident, capable, and supported in their learning journey.

We are so grateful for our son’s piano teacher! She is incredibly knowledgeable and truly understands how to teach music in a way that makes sense to kids. What stands out the most is her kindness and patience. My 8 year old is very intelligent, but also quite hyperactive, and she handles him with such calm understanding, and encouragement. She keeps him engaged, redirects him gently when needed, and celebrates his progress in a way that builds his confidence. He has grown not only in his piano skills, but also in his ability to focus and stick with something challenging. We couldn’t ask for a better teacher and highly recommend her to any family looking for supportive high-quality music instruction.
